Samsung has gained full confidence from the successful development of AMOLED screen. And the South Korea Company will soon push forward some more amazing OLED products.

Quote from Korea press report, Samsung is starting to produce the flexible AMOLED screen this quarter and most likely it will take out one proto which could carry the flexible screen before 2012 ends. It is reported that Samsung named the screen as Youm, which has 0.6mm thickness. Also, you could bend and fold it at will. It’s estimated that some devices will use the flexible AMOLED screen by the end of 2012.

(Notice, AMOLED panel is different than LED panel)

However, there are still some technological limitations for Youm to settle. It will be parceled with a 1mm-glass-protection layer. In other words, it is not really flexibly.

Samsung announced that the genuine flexible AMOLED screen will go into mass production till 2014.By the moment, Youm makes screen more flexibility and could be used more than cell phone.
